Cowboy JV Takes District Title with Big Win over Southlake

Team 1The Coppell JV Tennis Program turned it up a notch yesterday, completing a one day / 3-match sweep to the 2015 District Championship with a huge 10-4 win over Southlake.

The win over the Dragons in the Final countered the Cowboys only loss of the season to the same team just a couple of weeks ago.

After rolling in 1st round and Semi-Final matches to 10-0 and 10-1 wins over Haltom and Colleyville in the morning, Coppell set their sites on slaying some Dragons.

The Cowboys battled to an exciting 4-3 lead following doubles play, in which matches were hotly contested in front of a rowdy crowd at the Richland Tennis Center.

Coppell then pulled away with great play in singles, ending the match by reaching the required 10 wins before all singles were completed.
