Parent Volunteer Positions

Volunteer Committee:

• Helping with various volunteer opportunities as needed throughout the year

Team Parent:

• Be at booster meeting or delegate someone to attend
• Communicate info to Parents on WhatsApp
• Remind team/parents of…
• Coordinate w/ parents to supply snacks for matches
• Coordinate with captain/student liaison as needed
• This will be an evolving position

Banquet Committee Chair Person:

• Please find replacements for your position if possible at the end of the year
• Oversee planning, organizing, and exucuting of the End of the Year Banquet
• Be the contact person for Banquet venue, vendors, and subcommitee heads including:
  Decorations -
  Senior Flowers -
  Senior posters -
  Invites/programs –
  Photo books –
  Video -

Banquet Committee:

• Help in planning, prganizing, setting up and/or cleaning up the End of the Year Banquet
• Attend Banquet Planning Meeting as needed during Spring Semester

Membership Director:

• Please find replacements for your position if possible at the end of the year
• Commitment includes mostly May-August
• Track down booster membership money & forms
• Keep/track booster membership records
• Be at parent meeting at the beginning of the year to greet, encourage, answer questions

Team Spirit Committee Chair Person:

• Please find replacements for your position if possible at the end of the year
• Coordinate Needs for Spirit Orders, Signs, etc
• Coordinate with Spirit Store Coordinator
• Coordinate spectators/cheering at matches (use Sign-Up Genius)
• Coordinate Spirit Night
• Help with Team building activities
• Work with Player Spirit Committee/Yell Leaders
• Coordinate w/ and delegate to Team Spirit Committee

Team Spirit Committee:

• Help plan and execute Spirit events/activities througout the year including:
  
  • Spirit Night
  • Team building activities
  • Team Cheers
  • Help with making/displaying spirit signs
  • Help with Homecoming Parade

Spirit Store Director:

• Manage Online Spirit Store
• Coordinate orders & distribution of orders

Sponsorship Director:

• Please find replacements for your position if possible at the end of the year
• Contact local businesses to ask for sponsorships
• Serve as a liaison between the Booster Club and the sponsor

Flower Sale Director:

• Please find replacements for your position if possible at the end of the year
• Manage the Fall and Spring flower sales and distribution of flowers (scheduled Saturday morning in April and October)
• Coordinate orders and delivery days for Flower Sales with Coach, Flower company & Volunteer Coordinators
• Coordinate prizes for flower sales

Tournament Director:

• Please find replacements for your position if possible at the end of the year
• Coordinate with Coach, Volunteer Coordinator & Team Parents
• Coach breakfast/lunch at tournaments

Senior Committee Member:

• Help plan and execute Senior Night
• Help plan and execute special senior gifts, scholarships, and end-of-the-year recognition

Special Events Committee Chair Person:

• Please find replacements for your position if possible at the end of the year
• Tennis Kick Off/Swag Party (Work w/ President/Coach)
• Homecoming Parade (work w/ Volunteer Committee)
• Spirit Night (work w/ Team Spirit Committee)
• Senior Night (work w/ Volunteer Committee)
• Signing Day
• Winter Charity Drive (work w/ Coach)
• Tryouts (Work w/ President/Coach)

Special Events Committee:

• Help in planning and executing events/activities througout the year including:
  • Homecoming parade
  • Senior Night
  • Winter Charity Drive
  • Team Tryouts
  • Parent Meetings

Communications Committee Chair Person:

• Please find replacements for your position if possible at the end of the year
• Work with Newsletter Person
• Work with Social Media Person
• Work with Photographers
• Work with Photography Liaison
• Work withTeam Parents
• Work with Player Liaisons
• Work with Player Community Outreach Director
• Report events, celebrations, results, etc…

Communications Committee:

• Helping with things such as the weekly Newsletter, Special Notices, Player Spotlights, and social media

Photographer:

• Someone at each match/event
• Send to central location

Photography Liaison:

• Please find replacements for your position if possible at the end of the year
• Begin work in April (ideally have team pics as soon as possible)
• Coordinate with professional photographer/coaches regarding team, individual-posed, and action photos
• Secure Photographer
• Schedule Photographer
• Communicate deadlines
• Work with Photographer/Designer regarding Team Poster
• Follow-up with Photographer
• Coordinate with coaches so they can upload to the athletics website

Player Volunteer Positions:

Player Community Outreach Director:

• Coordinate w/ Coaches, Communications Chair Person, Social Media Person, Team Captains, Team Parents, Principals, PTO, District Admin, and School and community publications (Gazette & Advocate) as needed to promote Coppell Tennis
• Write or delegate info to communicate with the above as needed
• Team Reporter/Statistician/Videographer/Photographer

Player Liaison:

• Be at booster meetings or delegate someone to attend
• Coordinate with team parents as needed
• Hold team meetings for brainstorming as needed
• Report events, celebrations, results, etc…
• Send scores and ace info to newsletter
• Take/collect candids for newsletter
• Hold elections for “player of the week“ based on effort in and out of matches, cheering, etc.

Player Spirit Committee/Yell Leaders:

• Report info from Whiteboard to team parents & newsletter
• Captains could recruit
• Report new champs/supers to team parents & newsletter
• Good for college resume
• Work with Team Spirit Committee Chair Person
• Players cheering at matches
• Help with Spirit Night
• Help with Team building activities
• Help with Team Cheers
• Help with making/displaying spirit signs
